One of my favorite pictures from this past summer. I hadn't took the kids to the sand dunes for awhile. Phoenix was amazed at all the hills of sand. They all loved it! Not to mention it was fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa Thurman.

I am going private!!

Hello wonderful friends! I have decided to make my blog private. You are probably wondering why? I never post!! I will try to do better! Please leave me your emails, I love hearing from all of you! I will do a update post within the week - I promise!!

May 2010 - ITS A MIRACLE!!!!!

For those of you that don't know we have been trying to buy the house we have been living in through the short sale process for 11 months it was supposed to have taken 2 months. It has been completely crazy, for example it was mistakenly foreclosed on, we were given eviction papers and told the house had been already sold. But to our disbelief we finally closed last Friday!!! We are very excited and ready to make this house our home. Not to mention finally unpack!!!!!

March 2010 - Spring Break - Disney and the Beach

O.K. I know it has been awhile!! I will try to do better!! Anyhow, we wanted to share some fun pictures from Spring Break. We had been planning for awhile to finally go to Disneyland!! Actually, we were going to go last year, but the contract fell through on selling our Utah house. After seeing the the disappointment last year on our kids faces, we didn't tell them our plans this year in case real estate issues would strike again (those of you that don't know we have been trying to buy the home we are currently living in for over 9 months now... that's a whole another story!!)

Anyways, we just told the kids we were going to visit G & G Vehar in Arizona, but were going to go another way to see if it was shorter. Needless to say, 16 hours later the kids all agreed that it was taking way longer than it should. We pulled up to the Disney Gate and said we are here. At first the kids didn't know what was going on and Phoenix started crying saying, "where is grandma and grandpa and what is Disneyland!" However, soon enough they were very excited and had a wonderful time the next two days in Disneyland! Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Shannon and cousins were able to come with us as well. Thanks to them for letting us in on some helpful Disney Tips!!!

The next day we went to Huntington Beach. The kids loved it, not ever being at a beach before - at least that they could remember. I enjoyed it as well - it happened to be my birthday, it was a perfect way to celebrate it. Phoenix asked me "how the waves know he is there because they keep coming after him!" After we spent awhile there we drove 5 more hours to AZ and spent 3 days spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Vehar and cousins!! We had a wonderful time and the kids are asking when they get to go again.

Halloween 2009

So excited for the candy!!! Sierra is very into anything with Peace Signs so she has known for months that she was going to be a hippie. After finding the perfect peace sign fabric we made the best bell-bottoms we could. Jaxsen decided that being a nerd would be fun and he worked hard on perfecting his nerd talk. Aspen is happy being anything with a pretty dress - so she decided on a fairy princess. Phoenix wanted to be a Power Ranger and he had the Ninja moves to prove it.

Garden of the Gods/Jaxsen's Baptism

New Years 2009 - We had family in town for Jaxsen's Baptism. We decided to spend the afternoon at a place called Garden of the Gods that we had heard so much about. It is beautiful with lots of hikes/walking trails. The rock formations are amazing. The kids had fun seeing how high they could climb. We look forward to going back soon and spending more time there.

The following day on Jan 2, 2009. Jaxsen was baptized. Grandma and Grandpa Thurman and Grandma and Grandpa Vehar came to spend this special day with us. We are very proud of Jaxsen and love him very much.
